About us History
The journey of GitaRam Education and Health Foundation began with the vision of its Founder Chairman, Mr. Pankaj Chowdhury, who dreamed of creating an environment where children could learn, play, grow, and develop into responsible individuals.
With this noble vision, GitaRam Academy was established on 15 April 1999, beginning its journey with just 102 students and 12 teaching and non-teaching staff members. Over the years, the institution continued to grow and expand its commitment to quality education and social development.
In 2001, the Foundation established the GitaRam Institute of Management, affiliated with M.A.K.A.U.T. This was followed by the establishment of GitaRam Higher Secondary School in 2004, affiliated with W.B.B.S.E. and W.B.C.H.S.E.
Mr. Chowdhury’s vision extended beyond education. Recognising the importance of accessible and quality healthcare, he took another significant step towards serving society by establishing GitaRam Multispeciality Hospital in 2007, with the objective of providing comprehensive medical facilities and quality treatment to the community.
Continuing its pursuit of excellence in education, the Foundation achieved another important milestone with the establishment of GitaRam Gurukul (C.B.S.E.) in 2017.
Today, the school proudly serves a vibrant community of more than 1,200 students, supported by 60+ dedicated teachers and 50+ non-teaching staff members. What began as a humble initiative has grown into a distinguished institution committed to nurturing young minds and serving society through education and healthcare.
With the continued trust, cooperation, and goodwill of our students, parents, staff, and well-wishers, GitaRam Education and Health Foundation remains steadfast in its commitment to excellence and strives to serve the community with dedication, integrity, and compassion for generations to come.
